Tejashwi Yadav's Accusations Against PM Modi
Tejashwi Yadav, a leader from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday of remaining silent on critical issues affecting Bihar during his recent two-day visit, which included concerns about Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's health. The former Deputy Chief Minister, currently in Kolkata where his wife recently gave birth to their second child, expressed his criticism through a post on social media.
In his post, Tejashwi highlighted the record-breaking unemployment, poverty, and migration that have persisted under the NDA government in Bihar for the past two decades. According to the NITI Aayog, Bihar ranks lowest in education, health, and industry. The law and order situation is also dire, with the state's per capita income and investment being among the lowest in the country. Despite these pressing issues, the NDA government in Bihar and the central government have never addressed these public concerns.
He further criticized the Prime Minister for only visiting Bihar during election years, repeatedly inaugurating and laying the foundation for projects and announcements that have been ongoing since 2015. Tejashwi remarked, 'This is Bihar; the people here are not easily deceived! They know who is telling the truth.' Sharing a photo of the Prime Minister wearing a mask, he captioned it, 'His mouth never opened.'
During a public meeting in Karakat, Bihar, on Friday, PM Modi targeted RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, recalling a time when the state was under 'jungle raj,' where the rights of the poor were trampled, and land was seized from the powerless. Modi emphasized that during that era, people's lands were taken away, and their rights were stripped, making life unbearable in Bihar. He contrasted the law and order and infrastructure focus of the NDA government with the memories of Lalu Prasad's tenure.
