(Chandigarh News) Chandigarh. In a remarkable celebration of St. Patrick's Day, the Irish Ambassador to India, Kevin Kelly, hosted a grand event featuring a stunning performance by the Senior Choir of St. Stephen's School, Chandigarh. The evening was graced by numerous distinguished guests who appreciated the choir's touching renditions, which included Irish melodies such as 'My Land,' 'The Fields of Athenry,' 'Flight of the Earls,' 'Ride On,' and 'Above the Hills (The Londonderry Air).'


The event was further elevated by speeches from Ireland's Minister James Lawless, Ambassador Kevin Kelly, and India's Minister of State for Education, Chaudhary.


A highlight of the evening was the performance of the Irish national anthem, 'Amhrán na bhFiann,' sung in Irish by Ambassador Kelly, Sophie Rogan, and Peter. The choir concluded their performance with a spirited rendition of 'Ireland's Call,' evoking a sense of cultural pride and unity.


The celebration wrapped up with musical performances, a lavish banquet, and an energetic atmosphere, marking another significant step in strengthening the cultural ties between India and Ireland.
