Prime Minister Modi's Return to Bihar

On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised Operation Sindoor, stating he returned to Bihar after fulfilling his commitment to retaliate against terrorist camps following the tragic Pahalgam attacks. He highlighted the loss of innocent lives during the terror incident that occurred in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam on April 22.

Speaking at a rally in Karakat, PM Modi remarked, "The very name Sasaram resonates with the legacy of Lord Ram. The people here are well-versed in the traditions of Ram. 'Praan jaaye par vachan na jaaye'... Just a day after the horrific attack in Pahalgam, I vowed to the nation from Bihar's soil that the hideouts of terrorism would be obliterated, and they would face unimaginable consequences. Today, I return to Bihar having kept that promise."

He further asserted that both Pakistan and the international community witnessed the strength of India's daughters, referring to the 'sindoor' symbolizing their power. PM Modi emphasized that terrorists, who believed they were shielded by the Pakistani army, were decisively defeated by Indian forces.

During the rally, PM Modi was accompanied by Bihar's Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Deputy CM Samrat Chowdhary. He inaugurated and laid the groundwork for several development initiatives totaling over Rs 48,520 crore.

A significant highlight was the foundation stone for Stage-II (3×800 MW) of the Nabinagar Super Thermal Power Project in Aurangabad district, valued at more than Rs 29,930 crore. This project is anticipated to enhance electricity production, industrial growth, and job opportunities in the area.

Additionally, PM Modi will initiate key road infrastructure projects, including the four-laning of the Patna-Arrah-Sasaram section of NH-119A, the six-laning of the Varanasi-Ranchi-Kolkata highway (NH-319B), and the Ramnagar-Kacchi Dargah stretch (NH-119D), along with a new Ganga bridge connecting Buxar and Bharauli.

He also inaugurated the four-laning of the Patna-Gaya-Dobhi section of NH-22 and road improvements in Gopalganj Town on NH-27. In the rail sector, the Prime Minister dedicated the third rail line between Son Nagar and Mohammad Ganj, built at a cost exceeding Rs 1,330 crore, aimed at improving rail capacity and regional connectivity.

On Thursday evening, PM Modi held a roadshow in Patna, where he was warmly welcomed by large crowds. Many attendees waved the Tricolour and cheered for him, with residents lining rooftops and balconies to catch a glimpse.

The Prime Minister also inaugurated the New Terminal Building of Jayprakash Narayan International Airport in Patna, constructed at a cost of approximately Rs 1,200 crore, which is expected to accommodate one crore passengers annually. Furthermore, he laid the foundation stone for a new civil enclave at Bihta Airport, a Rs 1,410 crore project designed to support the growing educational and residential areas near Patna.
