Bhubaneswar: A total of 43 students have returned to Odisha from Jammu due to the ongoing conflict between India and Pakistan, as confirmed by an official on Saturday.

These students were enrolled at the Central Sanskrit University in Jammu and were instructed to leave their hostels for safety reasons.

They traveled to Delhi first and then took a train back to Odisha, the official noted.

The state government is actively facilitating the return of all students from Odisha studying in Jammu and Kashmir.

The Commerce and Transport Department coordinated the logistics for their journey home.

Upon arrival, the students received a warm welcome from state officials at various railway stations.

"We ensured that the students were provided with food, water, transportation, and other necessary amenities," the official stated.

Additionally, some students from other northern regions returned to Bhubaneswar via flights independently, having attended schools such as Doon International School, Welham School, and Mussoorie International School.
