Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi Reports High Grievance Resolution Rate

Public Grievance Hearing Yields Positive Results
Bhubaneswar: On Monday, Odisha's Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced that approximately 85% of the grievances submitted to his office have been successfully addressed. He emphasized that the initiative to resolve citizens' issues will persist.
This statement followed his participation in the 12th Public Grievance Hearing since he took office in June of the previous year.
Out of these sessions, 11 were conducted in Bhubaneswar, with one additional session held in Sambalpur on April 21.
Majhi remarked, "In a government that serves the people, prioritizing the resolution of their issues is paramount. Complaints from the public were received at the newly established grievance center located in Unit-2, Bhubaneswar. Officials have been instructed to act swiftly to address these concerns for the benefit of the complainants," as he shared on X.
Accompanied by a group of ministers and around 20 officials, Majhi commenced the grievance hearings at 8:30 AM. By 1 PM, his team had engaged with approximately 700 individuals out of the 1,000 who had pre-registered for the session.
Considering the hot and humid conditions, arrangements were made for attendees, including shades, fans, coolers, drinking water, and restroom facilities. Special accommodations were also provided for individuals with disabilities to ensure their access.
Citizens had the opportunity to register their complaints in advance via the state government's portal janasunani.odisha.gov.in or through the Janasunani mobile application.
Majhi further stated, "To date, 85% of the public complaints have been resolved, with the remaining issues currently being addressed. The public has high expectations of us, which is why they are coming forward with their concerns."
An official noted that around 10,000 individuals from various regions of the state have submitted their grievance petitions during the different Public Hearing sessions.
