New Underpasses Planned on Noida Expressway to Enhance Traffic Flow

Infrastructure Development in Noida
Noida is set to witness significant infrastructure advancements in the upcoming months, with a new project announced near the Greater Noida Expressway. The Noida Authority revealed that around 15 companies have submitted bids for the construction of two underpasses located near Sultanpur and Jhatta villages. The selection of a contractor will be made by the civil department within the next two months.
The underpass near Jhatta village aims to facilitate smoother travel for residents of Sector-145 and 146 heading towards Sectors 155, 159, and Greater Noida. This region, which houses the Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) campus along with several IT firms and business hubs, underscores the project's significance. The planned underpass will stretch 700 meters and is estimated to cost approximately ₹100 crore, with a completion timeline of 1.5 years.
Officials indicated that diaphragm wall technology will be utilized during construction, necessitating traffic diversions to alternative routes.
According to a report from a local media outlet, Vijay Rawal, the Chief Engineer of the Noida Authority, stated, "The underpass at Sultanpur village will be situated near Jaypee Wishtown in Sector 128, providing access to Wish Town, Sultanpur, and sectors 128, 129, 105, and 108. This 700-meter underpass is expected to cost ₹80 crore, with an 18-month deadline from the contract award date."
