Monsoon LIVE Update: Heavy rainfall is anticipated across several states until June 30, potentially disrupting traffic and daily routines. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has announced that the southwest monsoon has progressed over the remaining regions of the north Arabian Sea, as well as parts of Rajasthan, West Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Punjab.


The weather agency forecasts that the monsoon will reach Delhi within the next 24 hours. Light to moderate rain is expected in many areas over the next week. A warning has been issued for heavy downpours in Konkan, Goa, the Ghat regions of Madhya Maharashtra, Saurashtra, and Kutch from June 26 to July 1. However, some locations may experience pleasant weather suitable for outdoor activities. Bengaluru is expected to have a cool morning, with cloud cover in the afternoon helping to alleviate the heat.


Residents of Gujarat are advised to keep their umbrellas handy, as heavy rainfall is also predicted for Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and West Uttar Pradesh from June 26 to July 1; Rajasthan from June 26 to 29; Jammu and Kashmir on June 26 and 27; and East Uttar Pradesh from June 28 to July 1.


As June concludes, isolated heavy rainfall is also forecasted for Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, and Chhattisgarh from June 26 to July 1; Jharkhand, Odisha, and Gangetic West Bengal from June 26 to 28; and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, and Bihar from June 27 to July 1.
