Major Development Projects Launched by PM Modi in Bihar

Foundation Stone Laid for Key Infrastructure

During his recent visit to Bihar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated several significant development initiatives totaling ₹48,500 crore. Among these projects is the four-lane expansion of the Patna-Arrah-Sasaram segment of National Highway-119A.

Spanning 120 kilometers, this highway will significantly improve connectivity in the region. It will create a direct link between Patna, Arrah, and Sasaram, facilitating smoother transportation while redirecting heavy traffic away from urban areas.

Enhancing Regional Connectivity

This new route will connect Bihar's capital to National Highway 2, part of the Golden Quadrilateral, via Arrah, thus improving regional access. It will provide a faster transit option for both passenger and freight vehicles, reducing travel times and alleviating congestion on state highways. Additionally, a four-lane bridge over the Sone River will facilitate seamless travel between districts, further promoting tourism in the state.
