KL Rahul Achieves Milestone in T20 Cricket
KL Rahul has made history by becoming the first Indian cricketer to score 8000 runs in T20 cricket, surpassing the previous record held by Virat Kohli. This remarkable achievement places him as the third-fastest player globally to reach this milestone, following legends Chris Gayle and Babar Azam.
During a match against Gujarat Titans, Rahul completed his 8000 runs in T20 cricket. He needed just 33 runs to hit this landmark, and once he scored his 33rd run against Gujarat, he overtook Kohli's record.
To reach the 8000-run mark, Rahul played a total of 244 innings, which is one inning fewer than Kohli, who achieved the same feat in his 243rd inning. This means Rahul accomplished this milestone 19 innings faster than Kohli.
Overall, KL Rahul is now recognized as the third-fastest player in the world to score 8000 runs in T20 cricket, trailing only behind the legendary Chris Gayle and former Pakistan captain Babar Azam. In terms of total runs scored in T20 cricket, he currently ranks 36th.
