In preparation for this significant event, which includes the launch of the Vande Bharat train service linking Kashmir to Kanyakumari on June 6, 2025, a meeting was convened by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at the Raj Bhawan in Srinagar.
Key officials present at the meeting included Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, DGP J&K Nalin Prabhat, ADGP Armed Anand Jain, and various other senior civil and police administrators from Jammu, Kathua, Samba, Reasi, and Udhampur.

The Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link, spanning 272 kilometers, is one of India's most ambitious infrastructure projects, designed to provide year-round access to the Kashmir Valley.
