Students Who Fail to Return Tablets Will Face Result Hold
Chandigarh News: The Haryana government has mandated that students in the 10th and 12th grades must return the tablets provided to them back to their schools. The Directorate of School Education has issued directives to all district education officers in Haryana, instructing them to collect the tablets from students within five days following their final board examinations. The orders specify that students who do not return the tablets will have their examination results withheld.

Tablets Distributed to 500,000 Students from 9th to 12th Grade

The board examinations for 10th and 12th grades are currently underway, and students from government schools who received tablets under the state's Digital Haryana initiative (e-Learning) are required to return them immediately after their exams. Launched in 2022, this initiative aimed to provide digital learning tools to students from 9th to 12th grades, resulting in the distribution of approximately 500,000 tablets across the state.

SIM Cards to Be Deactivated

In the official letter sent to district education officers, the Directorate of School Education emphasized that failure to return the tablets within the stipulated time could lead to the withholding of students' examination results. The directive states that tablets must be collected within five days after the final exams, and the SIM cards for 10th and 12th-grade students will be deactivated. However, students in the 11th grade will retain their tablets.

Request to CBSE for Result Withholding

Additionally, the Haryana Board of School Education has been instructed to withhold results for students who do not return their tablets by the deadline. In cases where students are enrolled in government schools affiliated with CBSE, the department will request CBSE to hold their results until the tablets are returned to the respective schools.
