Exploring the Future of Digital India: Insights from AI and Cybersecurity Experts
A Pioneering Session on Digital Transformation
Bhubaneswar: Recently, a significant expert session titled “AI, Mobile Broadband, and Cybersecurity: The Future of Digital India” took place at the renowned Bosch Auditorium of CV Raman Global University (CGU) in Bhubaneswar.
This event was collaboratively organized by the IEEE Student Chapter CGU, Atal Incubation Centre (AIC-CGU), and the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC-CGU).
The session featured a compelling keynote speech by Dr. Debabrata Nayak, the director of Cybersecurity at PwC India, who provided an in-depth analysis of how new technologies are transforming India's digital environment.
Attendees included notable figures such as CGU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Bansidhar Majhi, along with program heads, interdisciplinary faculty member Ganapati Panda, and a vibrant audience of students and researchers.
Dr. Nayak's presentation was particularly timely, as India is rapidly evolving into a technology-driven knowledge economy amidst increasing cyber fraud incidents.
He discussed the intertwined growth of Artificial Intelligence (AI), 5G/6G mobile broadband, and cybersecurity, emphasizing their roles not merely as conveniences but as essential drivers of national progress, economic stability, and digital independence.
Using real-world examples, Dr. Nayak demonstrated how AI is infiltrating various sectors in India, from streamlining supply chains and improving medical diagnostics to enhancing e-governance and transforming financial services.
The discussion also highlighted how 5G technology is setting the stage for 6G, which is anticipated to provide data speeds 100 times faster, with sub-millisecond latency and the capability to support extensive machine-type communications.
