Preparations Underway for Amarnath Yatra 2025

To ensure the safety of pilgrims during the Amarnath Yatra in 2025, the Central Government has requested the deployment of 580 companies from the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF), amounting to approximately 42,000 personnel on the ground for the event.

As per official reports, 424 companies are being relocated to the union territory to secure the pilgrimage route, with these units being transferred under Operation Sindoor.

The Union Home Ministry has instructed the CAPF to swiftly position their forces in the region. A senior official confirmed that around 580 CAPF companies will be assigned for this year's Yatra, which includes 150-160 units already stationed in the union territory.

Increased Security Following Recent Attacks

The heightened security measures are a response to a recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam that resulted in the deaths of approximately 26 individuals. Home Minister Amit Shah is expected to assess the security protocols for the pilgrimage during his upcoming visit to Jammu.

Details of the Amarnath Yatra
