Home Minister's Commitment to Justice

New Delhi: On Thursday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah declared a relentless pursuit of justice for the victims of the Pahalgam attack, promising that every terrorist involved will face consequences for their actions.

Shah emphasized that the government led by Narendra Modi will not show leniency towards any terrorist.

"We will not let anyone escape who has committed this heinous act in Pahalgam. Our mission is to track down every single perpetrator," he stated during a ceremony to honor Upendra Nath Brahma, a prominent figure in Assam's Bodo community, where a road was also named in his memory.

The Home Minister reiterated the government's unwavering stance on terrorism, highlighting a zero-tolerance approach.

"Those who believe they can evade justice through such cowardly acts are mistaken. This is Narendra Modi's administration, and we will hold everyone accountable," he asserted.

Shah affirmed that the government's campaign against terrorism will persist until the threat is entirely eradicated.

"Do not assume that you have triumphed by taking the lives of 26 individuals. Each of you will be held responsible," he warned.

The event saw the presence of notable figures, including Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, and Promod Boro, Chief Executive Member of the Bodoland Territorial Council.

The tragic incident on April 22 resulted in the deaths of 26 people, primarily tourists, when terrorists opened fire in a meadow near the popular tourist destination of Pahalgam in Anantnag district, South Kashmir.
