Strengthening National Security

On Thursday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated a new Multi-Agency Center (MAC) in North Block, New Delhi, highlighting the government's unwavering commitment to bolstering India's national security and intelligence framework. During the inauguration, Shah referred to 'Operation Sindoor' as a significant testament to the country's enhanced strategic and operational capabilities. He credited the success of the operation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's strong political will, timely and accurate intelligence, and the precise striking capability of India's armed forces. 'Operation Sindoor symbolizes PM Modi's unwavering resolve, the accuracy of our intelligence agencies, and the flawless striking capability of our three armed forces.'


Functionality of the New Center

The newly established Multi-Agency Center (MAC) operates under the Intelligence Bureau (IB) and serves as a nodal platform for seamless coordination and information exchange among various security and intelligence agencies across the nation. This facility is expected to enhance real-time intelligence sharing, expedite response mechanisms, and improve inter-agency collaboration in addressing both internal and external threats. Shah emphasized the need for a future-ready security ecosystem capable of effectively responding to emerging challenges, particularly those posed by terrorism and extremism.


Visit to Injured Personnel

Just a day prior, Amit Shah visited the AIIMS Trauma Center in Delhi to meet with five security personnel injured during a recent anti-Naxal operation named 'Operation Black Forest' along the Chhattisgarh-Telangana border. This operation, which lasted 21 days, is regarded as one of the largest coordinated efforts against Maoist insurgents to date, resulting in the elimination of 31 top Naxal leaders, including several wanted commanders.
