Following the remarkable success of RRR, director SS Rajamouli has stirred excitement among fans with his forthcoming film 'SSMB29', featuring Mahesh Babu. Recent reports suggest that Priyanka Chopra is set to play the female lead, and now, R Madhavan is rumored to join the cast.

As reported by a financial news outlet, R Madhavan is expected to portray a significant and impactful role in SSMB29. However, neither the actor nor the production team has officially confirmed this information. Filming for SSMB29 is said to have commenced in January 2025, taking place in Hyderabad and Odisha.

On the professional front, R Madhavan was last seen in 'Kesari Chapter 2' as Neville McKinley, a film that explores the historical context of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, alongside stars like Akshay Kumar and Ananya Panday. He also featured in the Netflix movie 'Test' with Nayanthara and Siddharth.

In a previous interview, Madhavan reflected on his acting career, sharing an anecdote about a Swiss farmer who seemed unimpressed with him. He expressed feeling offended but realized he was often conforming to others' expectations.

Additionally, he is set to work with Fatima Sana Shaikh in the upcoming film 'Aap Jisa Koi'.
