Enhance Your Account Security with Google Password Checkup Tool

Understanding the Importance of Password Security
Just as we secure our homes with locks, safeguarding our online accounts requires strong passwords. Recently, the alarming news of 16 billion passwords being compromised has raised concerns. Instead of worrying, it's time to take action. Today, we will introduce you to a Google tool that many may be unaware of, despite its significance.
Introducing Google Password Checkup
This Google feature, known as Google Password Checkup, functions similarly to a health check-up by monitoring your passwords for potential leaks. If your password is ever compromised, this tool will promptly notify you.
How to Use Google Password Manager
To receive alerts, you must store your passwords in Google Password Manager. In simpler terms, if your essential passwords are saved there, you will be immediately informed of any data breaches.
To save passwords using your laptop or computer, open Google Chrome, click on the three dots on the right side, and navigate to the Passwords and Autofill option. Once you select this, you will see the Google Password Manager option.
Steps to Save Passwords
After clicking on this option, you will find 'Passwords', 'Checkup', and 'Settings' on the left side. To save a password, click on 'Passwords' and then tap 'Add'. If you have previously saved passwords, you can click on 'Checkup'.
What the Tool Checks
By tapping on 'Checkup', you can see if your password has been compromised. Additionally, this tool will inform you if you have created weak passwords for any apps and whether you have reused the same password across multiple accounts.
If you have saved passwords, you can check in your phone's settings under the Google option, then Autofill with Google, to verify if your password has been stolen or if you have set weak passwords for any apps.
