Bhubaneswar: On Saturday, Odisha's Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and Opposition Leader Naveen Patnaik extended their congratulations to Neeraj Chopra for achieving a remarkable javelin throw of over 90 meters during an international competition in Doha.
Chopra successfully crossed the 90m mark with a throw of 90.23m, securing second place in a thrilling men's javelin event at the Doha leg of the esteemed Diamond League Meeting series held on Friday.
Majhi hailed this accomplishment as a "historic moment and a proud milestone for Indian athletics."

The 27-year-old, who is a double Olympic medalist, achieved a throw of 90.23m on his third attempt, joining an elite group of javelin throwers, including his coach Jan Zelezny from Czechia, who have surpassed the 90m mark. Chopra is now the third Asian and the 25th athlete overall to reach this milestone.
