New Delhi [India], March 29: Following Royal Challengers Bangalore's (RCB) impressive 50-run victory against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the eighth match of the Indian Premier League 2025, fast bowler Josh Hazlewood shared his thoughts during the post-match presentation.


Hazlewood expressed his contentment with his own performance as well as the team's overall execution, emphasizing their adaptability to varying playing conditions. He acknowledged the team's vibrant energy and the significant contribution of left-arm bowler Yash Dayal to their success.


“The ball is coming out nicely, and I feel fresh. As a unit, we performed exceptionally well. We utilized the conditions effectively against KKR and replicated that tonight. The pitch had some inconsistencies, and we aimed for that in-between length. The energy at RCB is always high, which boosts our fielding. Injuries can be disheartening, but I used my time wisely focusing on fitness. Having a left-armer like Yash Dayal is vital; he brings a good change of pace and is a class act,” Hazlewood remarked during the presentation.


Strong bowling performances from Hazlewood and Dayal were instrumental in RCB's 50-run victory over CSK at Chepauk Stadium on Friday.


Chasing a target of 197, CSK felt the pressure from the start as Hazlewood struck early, dismissing Rahul Tripathi (5) and captain Ruturaj Gaikwad (0) in the second over.


Hazlewood delivered an outstanding performance, claiming three wickets in four overs while conceding just 21 runs at an economy rate of 5.20. In his second spell, he also took the crucial wicket of Ravindra Jadeja, who scored 25 runs off 19 balls.
