Yamuna Authority's Residential Plot Scheme: Lottery Date Announced

Overview of the Residential Plot Scheme
The Yamuna Authority has initiated a residential plot scheme, where only 276 plots will be allocated from a staggering 54,384 applications. Following the closure of the application period on June 21, the verification of submissions is currently underway. The list of applicants deemed eligible will soon be available on the official YEIDA website, with the lottery scheduled for July 11.
Details of the Plots Available
Launched on April 21 of this year, the scheme offers 276 plots, each measuring 200 square meters, located in Sector-18. Out of these, 214 plots are designated for the general public, 48 are reserved for farmers, and 14 are allocated for active industrial units.
Pricing and Financial Aspects
In a bid to manage the anticipated decline in applications, the authority has raised the plot price to Rs 35,000 per square meter. So far, the scheme has garnered a total of Rs 34.08 billion in registration fees, with an additional income of Rs 3.71 million from the sale of application forms. Applicants who do not win a plot in the lottery will receive a refund of their registration fees.
Lottery Confirmation
Dr. Arunvir Singh, the CEO of YEIDA, confirmed that the lottery will proceed as planned, and the final list of eligible applicants will be published on the website prior to the event.
