This clip was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by Parveen Kaswan, an officer with the Indian Forest Service. In the video, people can be seen scattering in panic as the elephant draws closer. Amidst the chaos, a woman can be heard shouting, urging others to remain calm and not to run.

Since its upload, the video has attracted over 398,600 views.

The viral video illustrates the moment the elephant approaches the picnic area, causing the startled tourists to abandon their food and belongings in their haste to escape. The elephant briefly seems to chase them before crossing a nearby drain and vanishing into the forest.

Kaswan utilized this incident to emphasize the risks associated with selecting picnic locations near wildlife habitats. In his post, he questioned the judgment of those who choose such areas, stating, “Tell me whose fault is this? Why choose a place for a picnic where elephants usually roam? Please do not put life in danger in search of beautiful places.”
