A Spectacular Reception for PM Modi

Bhubaneswar: On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi received an enthusiastic welcome upon his arrival at Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar, where he participated in a Tiranga Yatra and a roadshow.

At the airport, Modi was greeted by Odisha's Governor Ganeshi Lal, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, the two Deputy Chief Ministers, various cabinet ministers, and other notable figures.

This visit marked Modi's first trip to Odisha following 'Operation Sindoor', and both the Tiranga Yatra and roadshow occurred simultaneously.

As the Prime Minister's convoy progressed slowly through the streets, crowds gathered on either side from the airport to Janata Maidan, eagerly anticipating a glimpse of him.

Chants of 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' and 'Modi Zindabad' filled the air as people from diverse backgrounds came out to show their support.

Cultural groups entertained the crowd with traditional folk performances, including Bagha Nachha (tiger dance), Ghoda Nachha (horse dance), Ghumra music, cymbal performances, and Kirtan, adding a lively atmosphere to the event.

The Tiranga Yatra and roadshow spanned approximately 9 kilometers, concluding at Janata Maidan, where the event celebrated the first anniversary of the BJP government in Odisha.

Throughout the roadshow, Modi remained inside his vehicle, waving to supporters as the convoy traveled along the planned route.

One local resident, Manorama Das, expressed her disappointment, stating, 'I had brought a bouquet to welcome Modi, but I couldn't get the chance to meet him.'

Nevertheless, upon arriving at the event venue, Modi did sit in an open jeep to reach the pandal.
