PM Modi Highlights Andhra Pradesh's Reforms


New Delhi: During the 10th NITI Aayog Governing Council Meeting, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised Andhra Pradesh's Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for the state's impressive reforms and growth trajectory, according to an official statement.


The Prime Minister urged all states to analyze Andhra Pradesh's reforms, suggesting that they could provide valuable insights for other regions' growth strategies.


In his address, CM Naidu honored the victims of the April 22, 2025, Pahalgam terrorist attack and praised the Armed Forces for their success in Operation Sindoor.


He also recognized PM Modi's decisive leadership during challenging times, highlighting India's resilience and self-sufficiency.


CM Naidu commended the Prime Minister for advancing the economy from the 10th to the 4th position globally, acknowledging significant reforms such as Digital India, GST, Startup India, PM Gati Shakti, and the Jal Jeevan Mission, which have transformed India's development landscape.


He emphasized the importance of having the right leadership at critical moments to guide the nation toward its ambitious objectives.


The meeting centered on the theme 'Viksit Rajya for Viksit Bharat @2047,' which aims to create a prosperous, inclusive, and future-ready India by its centenary.


The Council discussed strategies to enhance entrepreneurship, employment, and skill development, as well as transforming Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities into growth centers, while reviewing key outcomes to strengthen cooperative federalism and collective national progress, as noted by an aide to CM Naidu.


CM Naidu also shared that under the Swarna Andhra @2047 vision, the state aims to eradicate poverty by 2029 through the innovative P4 model, which integrates efforts from the government, private sector, and citizens to uplift vulnerable families economically.


He proposed the establishment of three focused sub-groups of States, in partnership with the Union Government and NITI Aayog, to expedite progress toward Viksit Bharat @2047.


The first sub-group will concentrate on GDP growth, aiming to enhance investments, manufacturing, exports, and job creation, with support from central Viability Gap Funding for public-private partnership projects.


The second sub-group will address population management, helping India capitalize on its demographic advantages while preparing for future challenges such as aging and declining fertility rates.


The third sub-group will focus on technology-driven governance, leveraging AI, quantum computing, drones, and digital platforms for real-time, citizen-centric administration.
