Tokyo: On Saturday, the Indian all-party parliamentary delegation, led by Janata Dal (United) MP Sanjay Jha, concluded its visit to Japan and set off for South Korea. The trip was marked by significant discussions reaffirming India's firm stance against terrorism, particularly in light of the recent Pahalgam attack on April 22.

This delegation is part of India's broader diplomatic initiative aimed at emphasizing the importance of Operation Sindoor and addressing the ongoing issue of Pakistan-sponsored cross-border terrorism.

The Indian Embassy in Japan shared on X, "The All-Party Parliamentary Delegation, under the leadership of MP Sanjay Kumar Jha, has successfully completed its mission in Japan. India’s steadfast commitment to combating terrorism was reiterated clearly. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism, as evidenced by Operation Sindoor. Dialogue and terror cannot coexist."

Earlier in the day, the delegation engaged with the Indian community in Japan, stressing the importance of India's zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism and the crucial role of the diaspora in spreading this message throughout Japan.

The visit began with the delegation paying respects to Mahatma Gandhi and concluded with a tribute to Rash Behari Bose, a national hero, at Tama Cemetery in Tokyo, coinciding with his birth anniversary.

The delegation included notable figures such as BJP MPs Aparajita Sarangi and Brij Lal, Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee, CPI(M) Rajya Sabha member John Barittas, and senior Congress leader Salman Khurshid.

This visit signifies the start of India's extensive diplomatic efforts to highlight Pakistan's ongoing involvement in cross-border terrorism, particularly following the tragic events of April 22.

During their three-day stay in Japan, the delegation held fruitful discussions with various stakeholders, including government officials, media representatives, and academics. Sanjay Kumar Jha emphasized that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, India is dedicated to ensuring the safety of all Indians and collaborating with the global community to combat cross-border terrorism.

In these discussions, Jha pointed out that the Pahalgam attack was a malicious attempt to disrupt peace and development in Jammu and Kashmir. He highlighted that India’s response through Operation Sindoor was precise, targeted, and proportionate, adhering to a non-escalatory approach. He reiterated India's zero-tolerance stance towards terrorism, making no distinction between terrorists and their supporters.

Moreover, the Indian Embassy noted that Jha stressed the importance of addressing terrorism in all its forms as a national priority for India. He called for Japan's assistance in swiftly bringing those responsible for the Pahalgam attack to justice.

Japanese political leaders expressed their support for India's anti-terrorism efforts and underscored the necessity of holding those accountable for such acts.
