Fatehabad News (Media House): In a significant ruling, a court in Fatehabad, Haryana, has found nine individuals guilty in the case involving the public humiliation of a doctor accused of rape. The sentencing is set to take place on March 19, presided over by Chief Judicial Magistrate Rajiv.
The convicted individuals include Rajendra Chaudhary Kaka, Baljeet Bitta, Krishna Kumar, Anil Kumar, former councilor Subhash Papiya, Prem Sagar, Subhash Rayal, Virender, and Raman Kumar. Notably, one of the accused, Kaka Chaudhary, had previously contested as an independent candidate in the October 2024 assembly elections.
The doctor, identified as Dr. Jimmy Jindal, faced allegations of molestation and rape involving a student.
Allegations Against the Doctor
According to reports, Dr. Jindal, who operates a private hospital near the old bus stand in Fatehabad, was accused of initially molesting a student and subsequently raping her. On October 28, 2017, a group of individuals stormed the hospital, vandalizing property and assaulting the doctor. They forcibly dragged him outside, tore his clothes, and blackened his face, claiming he had molested a student seeking treatment.
The victim's mother stated that her daughter had been suffering from a fever and was advised to consult a psychiatrist, leading her to Dr. Jindal. Allegations suggest that the doctor sedated the young woman during her treatment, sending her mother home under false pretenses. He then reportedly took her to his residence, where he committed indecent acts.
The following evening, the victim was returned home, where her brother picked her up. Distressed, she confided in her family about the incident, revealing that she had not only been molested but raped. This prompted the police to add charges of rape to the case.
