Josh Hazlewood Embraces 'HazleGod' Nickname Ahead of WTC Final

Hazlewood's New Moniker
Mitchell Starc found it amusing to learn that his teammate Josh Hazlewood has been dubbed 'HazleGod' by fans impressed with his recent performances. As Australia prepares for the World Test Championship (WTC) final against South Africa at Lord's Cricket Ground on June 11, the media sought Hazlewood's thoughts on this new nickname during their time in India. Hazlewood expressed that while he appreciates the nickname, he doubts it will gain traction back home in Australia.
Starc's Take on Hazlewood
"I hope it fades away soon. It's nice to hear it in India, but I don't think it will catch on in Australia," Hazlewood mentioned in a video shared on the ICC's official Instagram account. Starc added, "I hope it sticks because I know he isn't too fond of it. He has had an incredible few months in India and returned home with plenty of success. I can't wait to see him perform at Lord's." Lyon chimed in, noting that Hazlewood even referred to himself as 'HazleGod' recently, which surprised him.
