ISRO Launches SETU 2025 for Educators

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has opened applications for the SETU 2025 program, which focuses on space education, training, and knowledge enhancement. This year's theme centers around space technology and its applications.


Teachers instructing students from grades nine to twelve in any board are eligible to apply for this complimentary five-day course. According to ISRO's website, the program aims to equip educators with knowledge about space technology and the Indian space program, covering topics such as spacecraft systems, satellite communication and navigation technology, satellite meteorology, and human spaceflight missions.


Participants will also learn to interpret satellite images for information extraction, access geospatial data through online data collection, and utilize Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to solve problems.


ISRO's Capacity Building Program Office (CBPO) has partnered with the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS) to offer this online course, which will be available on the 'IIRS E-Learning' platform. The deadline for applications is June 6, and the online course will take place from June 9 to June 13.
