Haryana Employees Union Conducts Budget Session
- Demand for a Separate Pay Commission for Haryana
(Jind News) Jind. In conjunction with the Haryana government's assembly session, the Employees General Assembly was held near the district headquarters, led by District President Sanjeev Dhanda. Rajesh Kaliramana facilitated the event. During the assembly, proposals were submitted to the Chief Minister Nayab Saini, the Governor, the Assembly Speaker, and the Leader of the Opposition through the Deputy Commissioner.
The assembly discussed the policies of the Haryana government, criticizing ineffective strategies and chanting slogans. Resolutions were passed demanding the establishment of a separate pay commission for Haryana, the release of interim relief of five thousand, resolution of pay discrepancies, regularization of temporary employees, formulation of a regularization policy, restoration of the old pension scheme, and filling of millions of vacant positions through permanent recruitment, among other requests.
Millions of Vacant Positions in Haryana
Suresh Rathi, the state head of electricity, spoke as the chief speaker, stating that the BJP government in Haryana has failed to address employee demands over the past decade and is unwilling to engage in discussions regarding employee issues. He accused the government of deliberately tarnishing the image of employees among the public. With millions of vacant positions, the youth in the state are struggling to find employment, and the existing employees are burdened with excessive work, leading to mental distress.
The demand for a separate pay commission was reiterated, emphasizing that Haryana's circumstances differ from those of other states. Before establishing the eighth pay commission, it is essential to resolve the pay discrepancies across various departments. The Haryana government had assured temporary employees job security before the elections, but now they are being dismissed from their positions, revealing the government's duplicity.
The union continues to protest against the anti-employee policies of the Haryana government. Although the government has created Ayushman cards and Chiranjeevi cards for employee health services, employees are now unable to receive treatment in private hospitals using these cards.
The government is also not increasing allowances such as house rent in line with the central pay commission. During this event, Vikram Sandhu, Sunny Patwari, Mangatra, Mandeep, Rajesh Poonia, Sushil Ikkaas, Mahendra Fauji, Vijender Sharma, Sandeep, Sandeep Gill, and Dalel Rana expressed their views.
