Enhanced Security Measures Implemented in Dalhousie Amid Blackout

Increased Security Protocols in Dalhousie
Dalhousie, located in Chamba district, has seen a surge in security protocols due to its proximity to the borders of Punjab and Jammu & Kashmir. Last night, authorities implemented a complete blackout in the area as a precautionary measure aimed at safeguarding the public.
Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Anil Bhardwaj and Station House Officer (SHO) Jagbir were actively patrolling the streets late into the night, ensuring that both civil and police forces remained vigilant during this operation.
In their address to the community, SDM Bhardwaj and SHO Jagbir urged residents to refrain from disseminating false information or sharing misleading videos that could incite panic. They highlighted the necessity of staying calm and following official directives.
Despite the blackout, some individuals were reported to be using generators and electricity, which officials deemed a significant breach of security protocols. Authorities have since called on the public to adhere strictly to the guidelines established during blackouts or other emergency situations.
Residents are also encouraged to stay alert and report any suspicious behavior or unidentified objects to local law enforcement. To bolster safety, an increased police presence has been deployed in sensitive areas of Dalhousie, with additional checkpoints set up.
The administration has reassured both tourists and locals that comprehensive measures are being taken to maintain peace and security in the region.
