Nitish Kumar Reddy's Challenging Innings Ends Abruptly at Lord's

Reddy's Struggle Against England's Bowling Attack
During the third Test match between India and England at Lord's Cricket Ground, Nitish Kumar Reddy's determined innings came to an unexpected halt in the 94.3 over. While facing Ben Stokes, Reddy was caught off guard by a sharply rising delivery that unexpectedly bounced from a good length. As he attempted a defensive shot, the ball clipped his glove and was easily caught by the wicketkeeper. The delivery not only had significant bounce but also deviated off the pitch, making it extremely difficult to handle.
A Scary Moment for Reddy
Just before the Tea break, the 22-year-old all-rounder experienced a frightening incident when a fast delivery clocked at 141 km/h struck the grill of his helmet. The impact caused him to collapse onto the ground, prompting him to call for medical assistance. After receiving treatment, he switched helmets and continued his innings.
Reddy's Performance and India's Position
Despite the earlier scare, Reddy's time at the crease was short-lived. He faced 90 balls, scoring 30 runs with a strike rate of nearly 33, including four boundaries. At the time of his dismissal, India was trailing by 51 runs.
