Delhi Assembly Goes Digital with New E-Vidhan Project

Initiation of Digital Transformation

The Public Works Department (PWD) has commenced efforts to digitize the Delhi Assembly, as announced by officials on Friday. This initiative follows a meeting held in early March, where Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta discussed the implementation of the National E-Vidhan Application (NEVA) with representatives from the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs.

According to a PWD official, "All components necessary for the complete digitization of the Delhi Assembly, including audio-visual systems and networking dashboards, will be established under the NEVA project."

The project will also involve the installation of hardware for high-speed data networking. Bids for the implementation of this project have already been issued. Officials noted that the estimated cost of the project is ₹15 crore, with a timeline of 50 days from the date of awarding the contract.
