New Delhi: In a crucial operation, the Border Security Force (BSF) successfully dismantled a terror launchpad located in Looni, District Sialkot, across from the Akhnoor region on Saturday morning. This site was reportedly being utilized for launching tube-drones aimed at various urban targets, according to high-ranking defense officials.


On May 9, 2025, starting around 9 PM, Pakistan commenced unprovoked artillery fire on BSF positions in the Jammu Sector. The BSF retaliated effectively, inflicting significant damage on the Pakistan Rangers' posts and assets along the International Boundary. The BSF confirmed the destruction of the terrorist launchpad in their statement, emphasizing their unwavering commitment to safeguarding India's sovereignty.


This morning, powerful explosions were reported at multiple airbases in Pakistan, affecting three of its air force facilities: Nur Jhan Airbase in Rawalpindi, Murid Air Base in Chakwal, and Rafiqui Air Base in Jhang, as stated by the Pakistani military.


Following India's counteraction, Pakistan has launched a series of drone assaults for the third consecutive night, targeting military infrastructure across approximately 26 locations, stretching from Leh in the north to Sir Creek in the south.


Pakistan, recognized as a center for terrorism, has been escalating tensions with India through repeated drone and missile strikes aimed at military and civilian targets.


In Rajasthan, drones were observed near Barmer, and air raid sirens were activated in Jaisalmer on Friday night. Additionally, explosions were reported in Srinagar early this morning.


Reports indicate that Pakistan renewed its offensive this morning by deploying a wave of drones targeting airbases in various regions, including Srinagar, Awantipora, Nagrota, Jammu, Pathankot, Fazilka, and Jaisalmer. Fortunately, no damage to Indian military installations has been reported.


Pakistan also continued its shelling across the border overnight, which was effectively countered by the Indian air defense systems.


The Indian armed forces remain on high alert, closely monitoring all aerial threats. Any suspicious drones are being neutralized using counter-drone technology.
