How to Apply Red Lipstick
Follow the steps here:
Prepare your lips
To start with the application, first you need to prepare your lips. Well-nourished, moisturized and exfoliated lips are able to hold lipstick well. Apply lip balm and spread it evenly on the lips. Let the ointment sit for a few minutes and remove the excess with a cotton swab. If you want to add more moisture, a lip primer will do or in other cases, a primer is not necessary unless your lips are really dry. For matte lipsticks, a lip primer is best as it offers plenty of protection from dryness.
Draw an outline
Take a lip pencil and carefully draw the outline so that the shape of your lips is properly defined. Outline the entire lip line and make it easier to apply lipstick in the next step.
Fill in the lips with a lip liner
After outlining the lips, fill in your lips with the same lip liner. Blot the excess with a tissue and reapply the liner to the colored areas and then blot again.
Apply red lipstick
Wow, the move you all have been waiting for a long time! To make your lips look really gorgeous and sexy, grab your lipstick and start applying from the center of your lips towards the corners. Make sure to apply lipstick over the outline of the lip liner to make it look fuller, plumper and of course, super red.
Clean it up
Now using the concealer sweep the edges of your lips with an angled brush. The brush acts like an eraser giving you a crisp and clean look as it erases any lipstick smudges. After applying concealer, dip the brush in face powder and brush the edges of the lips. Powder will not only absorb excess oil but also prevent your red lipstick from melting.
