Amaal Mallik's Candid Confession

In a poignant disclosure, singer and music producer Amaal Mallik shared his ongoing struggles, including his fight against clinical depression and challenging family dynamics.

The 29-year-old, known for popular tracks like 'Kar Gayi Chull' and 'Jab Tak', took to social media to reveal his vulnerabilities and requested some privacy. His heartfelt Instagram message, which he later removed, highlighted the emotional strain stemming from years of hard work and family conflicts.

Amaal expressed, "I have reached a point where I can no longer stay silent about the pain I’ve endured," emphasizing that his attempts to build a successful life for his family were often met with criticism instead of gratitude. He pointed fingers at his parents for the widening gap between him and his brother, fellow singer Armaan Malik. Despite his relentless efforts to support his family and carve out his own identity, he felt that his parents' actions had led to a significant emotional divide.

"My self-worth has been diminished countless times by the actions of those closest to me," Amaal admitted.

He further explained that these family issues have played a major role in his mental health challenges, leading to his clinical depression. "I am clinically depressed because of these happenings," he stated, marking a crucial moment of honesty regarding his mental health.

In a subsequent post, Amaal urged the media to respect his privacy and refrain from sensationalizing his personal struggles. "Please don’t sensationalise and give negative headlines to my vulnerability," he requested, highlighting the difficulty he faced in sharing his story. "It’s a very tough time for me," he concluded.
