Key Briefing on India-Pakistan Military Conflict

New Delhi: On Monday, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri is set to address a parliamentary committee regarding the ongoing military tensions between India and Pakistan, particularly following the recent terror incident in Pahalgam.

The briefing is scheduled for approximately 4 PM, according to sources.

This meeting is significant as it follows India's Operation Sindoor, which was launched in response to the Pahalgam attack, leading to increased military activities between the two nations.

An agreement to cease all military operations was reached by India and Pakistan on May 10.

During the briefing, Misri will discuss the latest developments in foreign policy concerning India and Pakistan over the course of Monday and Tuesday.

Additionally, the water resources committee, led by BJP's Rajiv Pratap Rudy, will receive updates from various government officials on critical issues such as flood management, riverbank protection, soil erosion, and relief strategies for the monsoon season, particularly for rivers that cross international borders.

In light of Operation Sindoor, the government plans to dispatch all-party delegations to 33 major global capitals to inform international leaders about India's firm stance against terrorism.
