Raghuvaran Death Anniversary, Ex-wife Rohini says 'March 19th 2008' changed everything as she remembers him

Actor Raghuvaran died on 19th March 2008 due to organ failure. Raghuvaran, seen in films like Sivaji-The Boss, Siva and Anjali, died at a private hospital in Chennai after a week-long battle to survive a cardiac arrest. On his 15th death anniversary today, his ex-wife and actor Rohini wrote an emotional note remembering him. "19th March 2008 started as a normal day but everything changed for me and Rishi. Raghu would have loved this phase of cinema and would have been happier as an actor too," Rohini wrote on Twitter with a photo of Raghuvaran. Movie watchers commented on Rohini's post as they remember the legendary actor.

"Time flies, it's like I watched the news on TV and he's already 15. One of the most versatile actors with an arresting voice," commented one Twitter user while another wrote, "I saw him for the first time in Anjali and became a fan. . His acting is as tall as his height.."

Raghuvaran started his journey in cinema with Malayalam films. In a career spanning 26 years, Raghuvaran played heroes and villains in Tamil soap operas, Oru Manithanin Kathai, Malayalam, Malayalam, Telugu and Hindi films. On the personal front, late actor Raghuvar married actress Rohini in 1996 and together, they have a son Rishi Varan who was born in 2000. The couple later separated and divorced in 2004.
