Dhanush's upcoming film, provisionally named D54, has officially started production. The movie is helmed by Vignesh Raja, who gained recognition for his notable crime drama, Por Thozhil. The initial promotional poster has already sparked interest, showcasing a striking image of Dhanush in front of a burning cotton field.
The poster was unveiled by Dhanush on his Instagram account, featuring the tagline, "Sometimes staying dangerous is the only way to stay alive. #D54 starring @dhanushkraja – On floors from today. Produced by @dr.isharik.ganesh @VelsFilmIntl. A film by @vignesh_raja."
While the storyline remains undisclosed, the imagery and tagline imply a suspenseful thriller with themes of survival and potential political undertones.

The cast includes Mamitha Baiju alongside Dhanush, with notable actors such as Jayaram, Suraj Venjaramoodu, KS Ravikumar, Karunas, Nitin Sathyaa, Prithvi Pandiaraj, and Kushmitha.
D54 is co-written by Vignesh Raja and Alfred Prakash, the creative minds behind Por Thozhil. The film is produced by Vels Film International, featuring music by GV Prakash Kumar and cinematography by Theni Eswar. Editing duties will be handled by Sreejith Sarang.
