What is the Subhadra Yojana?

The Subhadra Yojana, introduced by the Odisha government, is designed to support women aged between 21 and 60 years. Under this scheme, eligible women will receive ₹50,000 over the next five years. This amount will be disbursed annually in two installments of ₹5,000 each, transferred directly to the beneficiaries' bank accounts.

To qualify for the Subhadra Yojana, applicants must belong to families with an annual income of ₹2.50 lakh or less. Additionally, applicants need to be covered under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) or the State Food Security Scheme (SFSS) to avail the benefits of this scheme.

Toll-Free Helpline for Assistance

To facilitate easy access to the scheme and address any issues, the Odisha government has launched a toll-free helpline. Individuals can call 14678 for assistance or to lodge complaints related to the Subhadra Yojana. This helpline will be operational daily from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

Key Dates and Benefits

The Subhadra Yojana is set to commence on September 17. The scheme will provide financial support to women twice a year: once during Raksha Bandhan and again on International Women's Day. Through this initiative, the government aims to benefit over one crore economically disadvantaged women in the state. The Odisha government has allocated ₹55,825 crore for the successful implementation of this scheme.
