Lucknow. A suspected terrorist named Aqib, currently based in Dubai, has made headlines by posting a video on Instagram where he tears up his passport, declaring he will not return to India.
This individual has been consistently making anti-India statements through social media, showing no signs of slowing down even after actions taken by the Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS). In his latest video, he not only made inflammatory remarks but also reiterated his decision to avoid returning to India.
Investigative agencies are closely monitoring his activities and have intensified efforts to bring him back to India. Notably, on April 2, the UP ATS arrested several individuals, including Saqib, Arbab, Lokesh, and Vikas, from Lucknow, Meerut, and Gautam Buddh Nagar. The investigation revealed that these suspects were involved in anti-national activities and were plotting explosions and arson. During questioning, it was disclosed that Aqib from Meerut had facilitated contact between Saqib and Pakistani handlers.
Following this, the ATS also implicated Aqib in the case and issued a lookout circular against him. Despite this, he continues to post videos on Instagram. In a video released on Friday, he made provocative statements targeting a specific community, claiming that he would not return to a country where Muslims are oppressed. He further alleged that he has been labeled a terrorist. Currently, investigative agencies are working on his extradition process.
