Bissouma's Ambition for the Final

London [UK], May 14 (News Media): Yves Bissouma, the midfielder for Tottenham Hotspur, is determined to surpass what he calls the "best night" of his life as he prepares for the UEFA Europa League final. This match could potentially end the Spurs' long wait for a trophy.

Despite facing challenges in the domestic league, where they currently sit at 17th place with 38 points, Tottenham has a chance to rewrite their narrative. They are set to face their rivals, Manchester United, in the UEL final on May 21.

While struggling in the Premier League, Tottenham has found a way to maintain consistency in European competitions, securing their place in Bilbao after a convincing 5-2 aggregate victory over Bodo/Glimt.

Bissouma reflected on the semi-final win, calling it the "best night" of his life, and expressed his desire to create an even more memorable moment by winning the final against Manchester United. He shared with Sky Sports, "It was the best night of my life because I qualified for the final of the Europa League. Nothing can change that, and I will never forget it. I know I can have a night even better than this, so I’m working hard to be ready for it."

He emphasized the rarity of playing in a European final, describing it as a dreamlike experience that he hopes to prolong. "It’s not every time you have a chance to play a European final, and it’s not something that comes every season. A special moment like this feels like a dream, and I don’t want to wake up," he added.

Throughout the semi-final matches, Bissouma played a crucial role in Tottenham's success, ranking among the top players for shots and possessions won in the defensive third. The 28-year-old also excelled in tackles, interceptions, and possessions won in the midfield.

Despite being a standout player for Tottenham amid their struggles in the Premier League, Bissouma has faced criticism. Following a loss to Fulham in March, manager Ange Postecoglou noted that Bissouma sometimes allows the game to pass him by and expressed a desire for him to take more control on the ball.

Bissouma responded positively to the feedback, stating, "It’s always a pleasure to work with Ange. I have a good relationship with him. He understands players and puts in all his energy for our success. I take any criticism constructively because when I perform well, he acknowledges it, and when I don’t, I appreciate his honesty. His comments motivate me to improve and show him the best version of myself."
