Yuvraj Singh's Call for Inclusion of Young Players

Mumbai: Yuvraj Singh, the former all-rounder for India, has expressed his concerns regarding the lack of opportunities for talented players like Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan, and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi in the One Day International (ODI) team.

Speaking at the launch of Protocol 32, Yuvraj stated, "I genuinely want to see Abhishek in the ODI lineup. If we continue to overlook players like Ishan, Abhishek, and Vaibhav for 50-over matches, we are not giving their talent the recognition it deserves."

Notably, Yuvraj has been a mentor to Abhishek for a considerable time.

He acknowledged the challenge posed by the presence of seasoned players, which makes it tough for younger talents to secure a place in the squad.

"I recognize that we have exceptional players, making it challenging for newcomers to break through. However, given the performance of these young batters, I hope they will soon find their way into the team. Abhishek's accomplishments are a testament to his dedication, and he deserves credit for that," he added.
