Young Equestrian Star Stasya Pandya Shines at National Competitions
Stasya Pandya: A Rising Star in Equestrian Sports
New Delhi, April 14: At just 14 years old, Stasya Pandya is making waves in the competitive world of equestrian sports across India. She gained recognition for her impressive silver medal win in the Under-14 category at the 2025 Junior National Equestrian Championship held in Bengaluru.
Her latest triumph occurred at the 2026 Delhi Horse Show, where she showcased her versatility by earning two medals in distinct disciplines. Stasya secured a Team Silver in Dressage riding Consul and a Team Bronze in Show Jumping, successfully navigating a challenging 1.10-meter course with Cougar De Fees.
For those who may not know, dressage and show jumping are fundamentally different. Dressage emphasizes precision, rhythm, and harmony, while show jumping tests speed, control, and accuracy over obstacles. Achieving success in both disciplines at a national level is a remarkable feat, particularly for a junior competitor.
Stasya expressed her passion for both disciplines, stating, “Dressage is about patience and connection with your horse, while show jumping is about courage and quick decisions. I love both because they challenge different sides of me.”
With aspirations to elevate Indian equestrian sports on a global scale, Stasya continues to excel. At the JNEC 2025 in Bengaluru, she again won Team Silver in Dressage and finished fourth in Team Show Jumping at the NEC 2025 in Meerut. Previously, she earned a Team Bronze in Show Jumping (Children 2 category) at JNEC 2024 in Delhi.
A standout moment in her career was the FEI Children’s Classic 2025 in Bengaluru, where she qualified for Team India selection trials in the Under-14 category. Stasya achieved the All India No. 1 ranking in the Silver Category for Show Jumping and placed 12th globally.
“Competing at the FEI Children’s Classic against riders from around the world and finishing 12th globally made me realize I belong there,” she remarked.
Regionally, her accomplishments are equally impressive. She was honored as the Best Rider in the Children Category at the Annual Equestrian Games 2025 in Pune and the Mumbai Horse Show 2025. Additionally, she secured third place at the Dream Alliance Cup 2025 and the Surge Equestrian League 2025, and finished fourth overall at the Equestrian Premiere League 2025 in Bengaluru.
With the development of infrastructure, increased international exposure, and events like the FEI Children’s Classic being hosted in India, equestrian sports are gaining traction. Stasya Pandya embodies this new generation of young, talented riders eager to put Indian equestrian sports on the world stage.
