Minerva Academy's Success at Mediterranean International Cup
In another notable achievement for the region, the Mohali-based Minerva Academy secured fifth place at the Mediterranean International Cup (MIC) U-15.
Placed in what was termed the “group of death,” Minerva faced tough competition from elite European teams right from the start but managed to top their group with a flawless nine points.
The team triumphed over the Canadian side Braves d’Ahuntsic with a score of 4-0, followed by a commanding 6-0 victory against Liverpool FC Juniors.
However, in the quarterfinals, Minerva was narrowly defeated 1-2 by UE Figueres. Raj Singh Wahengbam stood out as one of the tournament's top scorers, sharing the spotlight with other talented players from prestigious European academies.
