Royals' Struggles Despite Jaiswal's Performance

In the disappointing IPL 2025 season, Yashasvi Jaiswal stood out as the leading performer for the Rajasthan Royals, amassing 559 runs across 14 matches—significantly outpacing the next best player by nearly 200 runs. Despite his impressive form and growing reputation in Indian cricket, he was not appointed captain during Sanju Samson's injury, with Riyan Parag taking the lead instead.

The Royals concluded the season with only 8 points, marking their first failure to reach the top five since 2021.
