Blake Monroe, who joined All Elite Wrestling nearly two years ago, was relatively new to the U.S. wrestling scene. Despite her experience in STARDOM in Japan, she was still acclimating to the mainstream aspects of sports entertainment. Her ability to adapt has led her to not only thrive in AEW but also make her way to WWE earlier this year.

Currently, Natalya Neidhart stands out as the most seasoned female talent in WWE, also recognized for her role as a trainer at her facility, The Dungeon 2.0. As a veteran, she closely monitors talents globally, including newcomers. Blake Monroe has caught her attention, earning significant praise.

Natalya's Praise for Blake Monroe's AEW Rivalry

During a recent interview on Busted Open Radio, Natalya expressed her admiration for Blake Monroe's work in AEW, particularly highlighting her rivalry with Toni Storm. Natalya noted that Monroe's wrestling skills have impressed her greatly.

“I think Blake and Toni’s story … [Blake] has definitely backed it up, and so now seeing her in WWE and seeing this new, this new side of her, of course, it’s an extension of what she’s been doing, but it’s exciting, it’s fresh, it’s fun,” Natalya reflected on the notable Blake Monroe-Toni Storm rivalry that unfolded over nearly a year, featuring three highly praised pay-per-view matches.

“Though, at the end of the day, WWE does stand for World Wrestling Entertainment, and at the end of the day, you need to be able to wrestle. Blake knows how to work. She knows how to wrestle.” (quotes courtesy Wrestling INC)

Upcoming Matches and Future Prospects

As of now, Toni Storm is set to compete in a significant match at AEW All In, defending her AEW Women’s Championship against Mercedes Mone. Earlier this year, Storm faced Blake Monroe, formerly known as Mariah May, for the title at AEW Revolution in a Hollywood Ending Match, which marked the climax of their long-standing feud.

This match was likely Monroe's last appearance in AEW before transitioning to WWE. Now debuting as Blake Monroe, she is scheduled to make her in-ring debut this weekend at the Great American Bash, teaming up with Jordynne Grace to face WWE NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne and Fallon Henley.
