The latest episode of WWE Raw, held at the RESCH Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin, showcased the progression of the annual King and Queen of the Ring 2025 tournament, setting the stage for the semifinals in both categories.
In the opening match, Asuka triumphed over Raquel Rodriguez, Ivy Nile, and Stephanie Vaquer in a Fatal-4-Way contest, securing her place in the Queen of the Ring semifinals. This marked Asuka's return to WWE television after a hiatus since May of the previous year, reigniting her pursuit of a women's title opportunity.
During the match's climax, Rodriguez executed a big boot on Vaquer, followed by a chokeslam. However, Rhea Ripley intervened, pulling Rodriguez out of the ring and delivering a Riptide. Asuka seized the moment, delivering a Hip Attack for the pinfall victory.

In the main event of the June 16 WWE Raw episode, Jey Uso emerged victorious against “Big” Bronson Reed, Sheamus, and Rusev in another Fatal-4-Way match, earning his spot in the King of the Ring semifinals.
During the bout, Bron Breakker attacked Jey, prompting Sami Zayn to intervene. After Zayn was taken out, Penta entered the fray, neutralizing Breakker. LA Knight then pushed Reed off the top rope, allowing Jey to capitalize and pin Reed following two splashes from the top rope.

Post-match, Seth Rollins attempted to confront Jey, but Cody Rhodes made a surprise appearance to thwart Rollins. The two had a heated exchange before Rollins exited the ring. In a show of mutual respect, Cody and Jey shook hands to conclude the episode.
