In just over a week, WWE NXT Women’s Champion Stephanie Vaquer is set to face her most formidable opponent yet, former champion Jordynne Grace, in a title defense. In a unique twist, both competitors participated in a tag team match to build momentum for their upcoming showdown at Battleground PLE.

During the May 13 episode of NXT on The CW Network, Stephanie Vaquer entered the ring for a promotional segment but was quickly interrupted by Fatal Influence members Fallon Henley and Jacy Jayne. Their taunts escalated tensions with the champion.

Jordynne Grace then intervened, supporting Vaquer and questioning how they could collaborate to secure the WWE NXT Women’s Championship. Jayne asserted that she and Henley deserved to dominate the women’s division, while Grace challenged their claims, warning them that Fatal Influence was targeting the championship.

Jordynne Grace Secures Victory for Her Team

The main event of the May 13 WWE NXT episode featured a match where Stephanie Vaquer and Jordynne Grace teamed up to defeat Fatal Influence (Fallon Henley & Jacy Jayne). The heel duo dominated Vaquer during the match until Grace made a crucial hot tag.

Grace showcased her skills with a spinebuster and a Death Valley Driver on Jayne, followed by a powerful forearm strike on Henley. When Fatal Influence attempted a double running knee on Vaquer, Grace heroically pushed her out of harm's way, taking the hit herself to ensure Vaquer was at her best for Battleground. Grace then executed the Grace Driver to secure the pinfall victory.

Having successfully defended her title in previous episodes and at NXT Stand & Deliver, Stephanie Vaquer is prepared for her next challenge. Grace earned her shot at the championship by defeating Giulia in a number-one contender’s match last week.
