WWE Money in the Bank 2025 is set to broadcast live on Peacock and Netflix, marking one of the year's major premium live events. The promotion has opted for a streamlined match card, focusing primarily on the highly anticipated ladder matches that will headline the evening.
Four matches are confirmed for the Money in the Bank 2025 event, with only one title match scheduled. During the May 26 episode of Raw at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida, WWE announced that Lyra Valkyria (c) will defend her Women’s Intercontinental Championship against Becky Lynch, following a heated exchange between the two.
As they prepare for their third singles match in WWE, Valkyria has expressed her disdain for Lynch, stating that she has lost all respect for her. In a heartfelt interview with WWE's Cathy Kelley, the champion shared her feelings leading up to the Money in the Bank 2025 event.
Valkyria recalled how Lynch inspired her to pursue a career in wrestling, but that admiration has faded after Lynch's recent personal attacks, which have overshadowed her family moments during Wrestlemania 41 weekend.
The tension escalated at Backlash when Lynch confronted Valkyria’s fiancé, which Valkyria deemed a low blow. Now, she is determined to “embarrass Becky and crush her ego” at Money in the Bank 2025, aiming to maintain her undefeated streak against Lynch.
Valkyria first defeated Lynch at Halloween Havoc 2023 while defending her NXT Women’s Championship. She then retained her Intercontinental Title against Lynch last month at Backlash, making their upcoming match at Money in the Bank 2025 their third encounter.
