Official Match Officials Revealed

Key Responsibilities for Indian Officials

The ICC has confirmed that Javagal Srinath will serve as the match referee, while Nitin Menon will take on the role of fourth umpire. This will mark Nitin Menon's debut as an on-field umpire in a World Test Championship final, although he has previously officiated as a TV umpire during the 2021 T20 World Cup final. Javagal Srinath, who began his officiating career in 2006, will be overseeing his 80th Test match in this final.

Field Umpires for the Final

The match will be officiated by on-field umpires Chris Gaffaney from New Zealand and Richard Illingworth from England. Illingworth has previously umpired in all three World Test Championship finals, earning the David Shepherd Trophy from the ICC. He also officiated in the WTC final in 2023 and the 2022 T20 World Cup final. Additionally, Richard Kettleborough will serve as one of the TV umpires for this match.
