Jio World Garden to Host Season 2 of the World Pickleball League
Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], July 18: The World Pickleball League (WPBL) has officially revealed that Jio World Garden will serve as the venue for its second season, scheduled from January 24 to February 8, 2026.
Situated in the bustling Bandra Kurla Complex, a key financial district in Mumbai, Jio World Garden is renowned for its exceptional facilities and adaptability. The venue has previously welcomed international stars such as the Backstreet Boys, Bryan Adams, Slash, and Armin van Buuren, alongside Indian music legends like Arijit Singh, AR Rahman, and Diljit Dosanjh, according to a statement from WPBL.
Season 2 of the World Pickleball League will feature six teams, prominent players, and celebrity franchise owners, marking it as the first franchise sports league to take place at Jio World Garden. This initiative aims to enhance the live experience for fans, creating an immersive atmosphere that merges elite sports with high-quality entertainment.
After a successful inaugural season at the historic Cricket Club of India, the WPBL's return to Mumbai is set to attract larger audiences, increased global participation, and a renewed emphasis on engaging fans, fostering grassroots development, and innovative storytelling. The iconic venue will enable the League to craft vibrant experiences that deeply connect fans with the sport.
